Concerts on Kentmere: Pyxis Piano Quartet presents “What’s Past is Prologue”

Luigi Mazzocchi, violin / Jennifer Jie Jin, cello / Hannah Rose Nicholas, viola (guest artist) / Hiroko Yamazaki, piano

Recorded in the galleries of the Museum’s renowned British Pre-Raphaelite collection, Pyxis Piano Quartet returns “home” to the site of their first (2009) concert. The Museum’s classical ensemble in residence will play an hour-long performance of works by C.H.H. Parry, Gordon Jacob, and Richard Strauss, surrounded by the art of those 19th century painters who – like Pyxis – looked back in time to propel them forward.

This concert will premiere on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 7 p.m., streaming to ticketholders via an exclusive link, and it will be available for unlimited viewing through May 5.

Cost: $20 Members,  $25 Non-Members (per household).
