9:30 AM  –  4:00 PM

Leslie Marsh | Saturday, June 17 | 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (30 minute lunch break)

Participants will create a small leather book using two popular bookbinding techniques and a simple weave. The combination produces an appealing exposed spine that is secure and allows every page to lay flat when opened. Using simple tools, students will craft a small copper frame for the book’s leather cover. (All levels) Some supplies provided. This class celebrates the exhibition The Cover Sells the Book: Transformations in Commercial Book Publishing, 1860 – 1920.
