Thursday January 29

1:00 PM  –  2:00 PM

Join us for a gallery talk by Fiona Owens, a master’s student in the Winterthur Program in American Material Culture and a recent curatorial intern at the Delaware Art Museum. Fiona will discuss Mary Lizzie Macomber’s 1897 painting An Instrument of Many Strings, and its accompanying frame. This talk will illuminate Macomber’s role as a poet and designer, who developed a signature framing style in order to communicate her Pre-Raphaelite inspired ideals to her Gilded Age patrons.

Price includes General Admission.
