5:30 PM  –  7:00 PM

Please join us for the opening of two exhibitions, In Conversation: Will Wilson and Stan Smokler: Steel in Flux on July 8th from 5:30-7pm.

Wilson explores the relationship of technology, identity, agency, and representation in photography while also considering the legacy of historical photographs on the representation of Native peoples in North America.

Smokler's celebrated found object, steel sculptures continue the trajectory of modernist abstraction. Stan Smokler: Steel in Flux includes work from the late 1970s through 2020 along with several of the artist’s charcoal and pastel drawings of his completed sculptures. Examples of Smokler’s large-scale work will be on view in the Museum’s Copeland Sculpture Garden with an extended showing through October 30, 2022.

Join us for a fun evening, indoor and outdoor, to see these new exhibitions on display, have a few small bites and listen to music.
