The short film highlights one man’s personal quest and Sankofa through his relationship with his destiny and Orisa, the forces in nature. Along his quest he must go back and reclaim his past so he can move forward; so, he can understand why and how he came to be and who he must be for the future.

Raw brings to the big screen a neo-traditional and diasporic perspective of the African-based spiritual system Ifa.  Inspired by his latest album, Orisa Soul Music, which is a fusion of Hip-Hop with West African rhythms.  Orisa Soul was made possible and supported by a grant from the Delaware Division Of The Arts, A State Agency, In Partnership With The National Endowment For The Arts.   Raw used his fellowship award to shoot Orisa Soul with additional support from Culture Restoration Project, Inc. and The Delaware Art Museum.
