This class is Hath Yoga. The Asanas (physical postures) are held longer with more intention than fast paced, Vinyasa, or Power Yoga. It can be adapted towards any practice. The focus is on balance, stretching, strengthening, and breathing (Pranayama). We will focus on controlled breathing during our meditation practice where we will find balance between the mind and body.
The class is 60 minutes long and is taught by Cindy Hughes, who has more than 30 years experience teaching and practicing yoga. Please plan to meet the instructor at our security booth 10 minutes before class starts because the museum will be closed to the public at this time. Teacher will lead class to the studio space. As to not disrupt the in session class, please arrive on time.
