This course will focus on approaches and techniques for representational and impressionistic acrylic painting. Direct observation along with working from a photographic reference will be the basis for combining light, shadow, and color to create realistic paintings.  

Supply list (responsibility of the student to bring): 

• Paint brush set (should include variety of sizes, round and flat shape bristles). Most sets like this are $10-15 on amazon.  

• You are welcome to bring your own paint or extra supplies. 

Supplies provided by the teacher: 

• Paint (Liquitex BASICS)

• 11x14 canvas board 

• Palette paper 

• Paper towels
