This program will focus on Yaupon Holly, the only plant native to North America that produces caffeine. Indigenous communities have brewed Yaupon into tea and drank it for strength and ceremonies. During the program, participants will learn the history of Yaupon, roast Yaupon, and sample a variety of Yaupon tea blends with Crystal Stokes of Project CommuniTea. Participants are invited to make a small handmade ceramic teacup that the Museum will glaze and fire to be picked up at a later date.

In partnership with Delaware Art Museum, Native Roots Farm Foundation, and Project CommuniTea.
