Mixers with Molly returns on Thursday, February 25 with two very exciting guests: Senator Sarah McBride (also a DelArt Trustee) and Senator Elizabeth “Tizzy” Lockman. Senator McBride and Senator Lockman, who represent adjacent districts in and around Wilmington, are passionate arts advocates who believe that the arts are essential to creating a thriving community. Both are using their powerful voices in Delaware and beyond to advocate for a strong arts sector. Senator Lockman helped found the bipartisan Arts Caucus (her co-chair is Republican Representative Bryan Shupe), and Senator McBride—an Arts Caucus member—uses her national platform as the country’s highest ranking transgender elected official to talk about how attending an arts high school shaped her into the leader she is today.
